The sturdy heart of your roller shutter

Whether used in new-build projects, renovations or even in rolling gates in commercial construction: the roller shutter shaft (octagonal shaft) is the load-bearing element on which the roller shutter is wound and unwound. SELVE manufactures it from high-quality hot-dip galvanised steel and, thanks to state-of-the-art production technology, with shaft ends free of burrs and chips – in the sizes SW 40, SW 50, SW 60 and SW 70 and in various wall thicknesses to suit every installation situation.

Thanks to the wide variety of versions, precise workmanship and perfect compatibility with all SELVE drives, end caps, pulleys, suspension springs, burglar-proof fixations and other accessories, the shafts are suitable for every application. As standard, the roller shutter shafts are produced in lengths of 6 metres and cut to size for the installation situation during roller shutter manufacturing or on site. Alternatively, the roller shutter shafts are also available in certain fixed lengths. Where installation widths vary or are only determined on site – for example when renovating older buildings – telescopic shafts allow infinitely variable length adjustment without sawing and, on request, come pre-assembled with an end cap.
