End caps connect the roller shutter shaft securely to the pivot, ball bearing or plain bearing in the roller shutter box, forming the mechanical interface between the drive and the bearing support. Thanks to this precise bearing support, the shaft turns almost without friction, which reduces wear and noticeably extends the service life of the entire roller shutter system.

As a full-range supplier of roller shutter components based in Lüdenscheid, Germany, SELVE develops its end caps to match its own shaft, bearing and strap pulley systems and to suit other industry solutions. The range covers the common shaft sizes SW 40 to SW 70 (40 to 70 mm across flats) and is manufactured in Germany.

The end caps feature either a steel pivot or a mount for ball or plain bearings Ø 28 mm or Ø 40 mm. Depending on the installation situation, short and long versions with different adjustment ranges are available – some versions also include a mount for a strap pulley. As standard, end caps are made of robust plastic. For special applications in particularly narrow roller shutter systems with a drive, metal end caps that fit over the outside of the roller shutter shaft are the right choice.
