As well as taking sensible precautions, such as closing all doors and windows when you leave the house, additional obstacles and automating your roller shutters play a major role in the fight against burglars.
- Roller shutters: Roller shutters represent an additional obstacle in front of the window. Trying to overcome them is a noisy and time-consuming process. Aluminium roller shutters are even more difficult to bypass than those made from plastic.
- Timers: Timers use a light sensor or astro evening function to automatically close all the roller shutters in your home when darkness falls. Even when you are not at home!
- Activity simulation: You can simulate activity in your home by moving the roller shutters and awnings via a timer, or controlling the appliances and devices with smart home technology. This can significantly reduce the risk of break-ins.
- Burglar-proof fixations: Instead of regular suspension springs, the roller shutters are secured to the octagonal shaft using burglar-proof fixations. These firmly push the roller shutter down onto the windowsill, making it impossible to lift.
- Glass breakage sensors: These handy little sensors are attached directly to the window pane and close the roller shutter automatically in the event of severe vibrations. This can hinder an attempted break-in.
- Cameras and motion sensors: Burglars don’t like to be disturbed. If someone is trying to break into your home, cameras and motion sensors can automatically turn on the light and trigger an alarm. Occupants are then informed via push notifications so they can take appropriate action.
