Insulating roller shutter boxes simply and cleanly

An uninsulated roller shutter box is one of the most common thermal bridges at the window, and in older buildings in particular a noticeable amount of heating energy is lost through it. SELVE insulation mats are a simple and effective way to retrofit insulation to the roller shutter box and close this thermal bridge. During renovation work, or when retrofitting a roller shutter with an electric drive while the roller shutter boxes are accessible, insulation mats are therefore often fitted at the same time. The flexible mats can be cut precisely to size and, thanks to the self-adhesive backing, fitted quickly and securely in the existing box – without any special tools.

This is how the insulation mats improve energy efficiency, protect against heat loss in winter and keep rooms pleasantly cool in summer. Depending on the version, the mats are also sound-absorbing, creating a quieter, more comfortable indoor climate – particularly in sleeping areas. The insulation mats are available as rolls (in thicknesses of 1 cm, 1.9 cm and 3.2 cm) and as pre-cut panels (70 × 60 cm in 1, 2 and 3 cm). For clean joints, SELVE offers matching adhesive tape (3 × 50 mm, 15 m).
