The clean solution for flush-mounted strap coilers
Flush-mounted boxesare essential installation components for strap coilers that are mounted flush within the wall. A flush-mounted box is set into the masonry and plastered in, creating a clean cavity into which the strap coiler is later screwed with a precise fit. Until the strap coiler is fitted, the plaster protection shields the installation space. In addition to the familiar plastic flush-mounted boxes, thermally insulated versions are also available, which reduce thermal bridging at the external wall and so contribute to the energy efficiency of the building.
In new-build projects, the flush-mounted box is planned in early and set at the intended coiler position as early as the shell construction stage. The matching strap coiler generally follows much later – once plastering and interior fit-out are complete. After plastering, the plaster protection is removed and the strap coiler is inserted. Some versions have a horizontal adjustment range (45 mm), which makes it easier to align the coiler vertically with the strap outlet.
