SE Solar-com (Set)
Battery-powered solar drive for roller shutters
Product information
A revolution in modern building automation
Roller shutter drives are usually operated using 230 V mains power. If roller shutters are being retrofitted to a building in a place without mains wiring, the installation is usually time-consuming and complicated. The SE Solar-com means that a complicated installation is a thing of the past. This is also the case in new buildings, saving time and money. It is controlled with the commeo radio system and can also be integrated in the SELVE Home smart home system. SE Solar-com is suitable for all box types: boxes on new buildings, top-mounted boxes and front-end elements. The solar panel is mounted on the element or the facade, where it can be glued or screwed in place.
The battery is charged by the solar panel and powers the solar drive. The roller shutters can also be operated at night, in winter or on dull days with little sunlight. A 5-level charging state indicator on the commeo Multi Send shows the remaining charge of the battery. An additional solar panel or an external charging socket can optionally be installed in the guide rail. An additional major advantage of the SE Solar-com roller shutter drive includes the variable travel speed, which also contributes to minimising noise when operating the system. In quiet mode, the roller shutter is barely perceptible.
Available in BR2 (shaft 60) at torques of 10 and 20 Nm.

PRODUCT BENEFITS
- Self-sufficient energy supply for motorised roller shutters
- Simple installation without the need for wiring
- Suitable for all installation situations and all types of roller shutter boxes
- Large solar roller shutters can also be operated with the 20 Nm drive
- Practically silent DC drive, especially in slow operating mode
- Different speeds: slow (7 or 5 rpm) and faster (14 or 10 rpm) operating modes
- Automatic and double-tap travel commands are always executed at reduced speed and therefore almost silently
- Soft stop: brakes slowly to a stop on reaching the end positions
- Fully compatible with commeo radio systems and SELVE Home
- Charging state indicator in the commeo Multi Send shows the battery’s charge level (5 levels)
- External charging socket: Optional manual recharging of the battery
battery via the socket
- Automatic end position adjustment: Up – down – done!
- Obstacle detection in downward direction and learning overload protection in upward direction (protection against freezing) extend roller shutter service life

In the world of building automation, roller shutter drives play a crucial role. Traditionally, these are powered by 230V mains electricity, which requires a fixed power connection in the roller shutter box. This can pose a real challenge, especially when retrofitting roller shutters to existing buildings that don't have pre-installed mains cabling.
The SE Solar-com roller shutter drives solve this challenge elegantly. Installation is effortless, with no additional mains cabling required. This innovative technology is powered by solar energy and a high-performance battery, enabling fully self-sufficient motorisation of roller shutters – even in low sunlight or at night.
The SE Solar-com roller shutter drive not only boosts energy efficiency but also supports climate protection, since it runs without mains electricity and relies on renewable energy instead. Additional options such as extra solar panels or external charging sockets increase operational reliability and adapt to individual requirements.
Solar-powered roller shutters reflect the growing trend towards sustainability and the use of renewable energy, particularly for retrofit projects where no additional mains cabling needs to be laid.
