The commeo Light Send Outdoor automatically controls awnings, screens, roller shutters and Venetian blinds in reaction to direct sunlight and optionally at dusk - conveniently and energy-efficiently.
This radio light sensor is ideal for new buildings or modernisations, and can be easily retrofitted in existing buildings. It provides a reliable, simply retrofitted automation solution that can be seamlessly integrated into the commeo radio system and SELVE Home. Radio technology and battery operation eliminates the need for additional wiring, allowing sunscreen systems to be economically extended, automated and adapted to accommodate increasing comfort and energy efficiency requirements.

More comfort, protection and energy efficiency - smart sunscreening in outdoor areas
The sunscreen light sensor permanently monitors direct sunlight in outdoor areas. If a previously set brightness threshold value is exceeded, the sunscreen automatically moves into position.
The automatic closing or lowering of the sunscreen can significantly reduce heating up indoors. This reduces the load on air conditioning units and saves cooling energy.
The commeo Light Send Outdoor helps to cut down the use of artificial light during the day by preventing glare while leaving sufficient daylight in the room. This reduces power consumption and provides for a natural lighting ambience.
The threshold values for direct sunlight and twilight can be easily adjusted depending on the SELVE control unit or radio transmitter being used.
In addition to the automatic function of the light sensor, awnings, screens, roller shutters and Venetian blinds can always be controlled manually using existing handheld or wall transmitters, switches or the SmartHome app. This gives you full control at all times – the automatic system assists you, but does not replace you.
