For ten years, practical information and useful tips have been at the heart of SELVE’s tutorial videos. The main face on screen is usually Guido Schildbach, who has recently filmed numerous new videos for specialist dealers and installers, featuring SELVE’s latest drive innovations from Lüdenscheid. “The big advantage of our offering lies in its permanent availability, and the response has been excellent,” says Schildbach. “Whether in the office, at home, on the construction site or while planning a system – our professional customers can access the videos anytime and anywhere on their mobile devices to see how installation and key SELVE product features work.”

The fact that Guido Schildbach compiles key technical knowledge and conveys it enthusiastically on camera is evident once again in the new tutorials. Several videos are now available on the solar-powered SE Solar-com drive system. The sustainable, self-sufficient solar shading solution without a mains connection can be implemented with minimal effort – and the film explains it in a simple and comprehensible way for everyone. Alongside the interaction of the solar set – where energy for the radio drive is generated by the solar panel and stored in the battery – the training manager also highlights additional advantages such as the “completely uncomplicated installation.” “The control of our solar drive operates conveniently via radio,” explains Schildbach, demonstrating in the video how the commeo Multi Send transmitter displays the current battery charge level. The SELVE solution also provides the option to install an external charging socket in the guide rail. This and much more are presented clearly on screen.

The innovative SEZ-NHK escape-route drive also features in a newly produced tutorial following its market launch in September. The video clearly explains the functionality of the emergency manual drive for motorised zip screens. Installation guidance and expert technical insights are just a click away. “This intuitive, market-unique solution for emergencies will be of great interest to many customers,” says the SELVE expert. The video also covers the system’s special features: like the established SEZ drive, the SEZ-NHK includes automatic end-limit setting, obstacle detection, and wind-gust recognition.

In several further new videos, Schildbach also presents the commeo Multi Send hand transmitter. “Our radio control system is actually self-explanatory,” he says. “To show our customers just how easy and intuitive the basic setup or pairing of receivers really is, we’ve added new tutorial clips on this topic.” In one video, for instance, he demonstrates how to adjust wind sensitivity thresholds on the SE Breeze-com awning drive. “Customising the settings to individual preferences is totally easy,” says the presenter, who is proud that all videos are filmed as one-take recordings – continuous sequences without cuts from start to finish. The feedback on these videos has been “extremely positive.” Whether at trade fairs or during SELVE training sessions – “many professionals tell me they already know me from the tutorial videos.”

Recently, eight new short clips premiered as well – introducing the SELVE customer portal, which allows convenient 24/7 ordering. SELVE’s professional partners can access information and order over 1,800 products online directly. The new videos explain the portal’s smart features and functions, such as product search, order history, and virtual wish lists. One short film also presents the drive generator tool — a highly practical solution that guides customers step by step in selecting the right motor and matching accessories.
