Roller shutter straps and cords are key operating elements in mechanical roller shutter systems with a strap winder or cord winder.. Winding and unwinding the roller shutter curtain places constant, high loads on them – a low-quality strap will tear, jam or stretch, leading to malfunctions. SELVE offers straps and cords made of high-quality polypropylene and polyester fibres, which stand out for their tear resistance, UV resistance and abrasion resistance.

SELVE roller shutter straps are available in two standard widths: 14 mm (Mini straps) and 23 mm (new-build / Maxi straps). Tensile strengths of up to 410 daN ensure reliable operation even with heavy roller shutter curtains. All strap types are available as individual strap rolls with ready-to-use lengths of 5, 6 or 7 m, or on a large 50 m roll to be cut to the lengths required.

A special feature is the reversible new-build strap, which is grey on one side and cream on the other. It allows flexible colour choice to suit customer requirements without having to stock two separate products – an advantage that particularly benefits trade professionals when replacing a strap. The range is complemented by roller shutter cords with a diameter of 4.2 mm for cord winders.
