Ready for the next awning season: Fully upgraded with the SE Breeze-com

What works perfectly at SELVE sales expert Andreas Galler’s home is also impressing more and more professional customers

Spring is approaching, and with it, the awning season. SELVE's sales expert Andreas Galler is ready with something innovative: what has proven itself at home and “works perfectly,” is also winning over more and more professionals. For this key account manager, the SE Breeze-com plays “in a league of its own thanks to its unique features.” The awning motor combines two products in one – and provides integrated wind protection for high-quality articulated arm awnings. “Our great solution offers significant market potential,” says Galler.

Cranking is a thing of the past
When it came time to retrofit the open articulated arm awning at his home in Bochum with an electric drive, Andreas Galler immediately knew: “The innovative SE Breeze-com is my first choice.” The motor, awarded the R+T Innovation Prize 2024 in Gold, features built-in automatic wind detection. “That’s the real advantage,” he explains. Due to space limitations and aesthetic concerns, an additional wind sensor on the facade wasn’t an option for him. The SE Breeze-com was installed along with a new awning fabric by a SELVE partner from Bochum and has since delivered “all its strong product benefits,” Galler reports.

Optimal protection for your awning
Already last summer, the retrofit proved its worth: “Everything works excellently, and the motor ensures optimal protection and reliable operation,” says the SELVE key account manager. When sudden storms appeared on hot days, Galler was thrilled: “After the first gust of wind and before the rain, the awning had already retracted.”
The integrated acceleration sensor detects fabric vibrations and automatically triggers retraction. There’s no need for a wind wheel or external sensor – saving effort and costs. “That’s a strong selling point for professionals and end customers alike,” he adds. Sensitivity can be set in five levels via remote control or switch. Galler set the values himself at home using the commeo Multi Send. “Quick and easy – and can be adjusted anytime,” he says.

Next up at Galler’s home is a useful addition: the new external light sensor commeo Light Send Outdoor. “This new SELVE product enables sun-dependent automation and completes the comfort package,” says Galler. The battery-operated sensor is easy to install – no cables required. Settings can be manually adjusted on the device itself.
With this combination, Galler’s terrace system is now weather-optimized: “No comfort wishes remain unfulfilled – and there’s plenty of sales potential for the 2025 awning season.”
